The manual says
“Chains can be created even if CHAIN mode is deactivated.” …
“press and holding [BANK X/X] and then press the [TRIG] keys in the same order as you want the chained patterns to play.”
Following those instructions just overwrites the pattern & doesn’t create a chain ?

Thanks for your reply but when chain mode is activated I must 1st use the cursor to move off (before or after) a pattern, ( otherwise whatever I press just overwrites a single pattern not making a chain)
But trying to prepare a chain with Chain Mode deactivated -
Holding “Bank no” button while making multiple presses of different pattern triggers, just overwrites the single, unchaned pattern.
you have to press the pattern buttons in a sequential order that you want them to play
hold bank button - press button for pattern 1, then hold it down - then press button for pattern 2, hold it down… then let go of all the buttons
now it plays pattern 1-2-1-2-1-2, etc. etc. forever… you can chain a bunch of patterns this way, just keep holding down more buttons in the order you want
Well i’ve soent several hours trying to every possible combination of press’s & holds, but can find no way of gettng it to work, (to prepare a chain in advance) Even in ‘Chain Mode’ it doesnt work unless you move the cursor first.
