How do you copy patterns/sounds between projects?

Anyone know?

You can copy everything but the kit with func+record and paste it to a new project, you need to put the same samples in the same slots though and if you have an lfo on sample select the other samples will need to be in the same order too.

Sounds very painful…

Any update on this one ?

I ran into this today.
It’s a lot of back and forth to get a pattern intact between projects (with the kit).

Is there really no easier way to do this?

Hi,

New Digitakt user here. I’ve got two techno projects which I want to combine into one as I’m building a live set. Of course on reflection I wish I’d stayed in one project and had all my ideas in there, but I just wanted to start afresh. I’ve tried copying a pattern from one project and pasting into another but in some cases the sounds are messed up.

How can this be done so everything works, or is the simple answer no?

Many Thanks in advance.

There is no simple answer, copying the pattern will take everything but the project ram sample list, so pasting it to another project will result in the pattern taking on whatever samples are in the slot numbers each track has selected. If it is just one pattern you can either make a note of the samples used and add them to the other project or save each track Sound to a bank(label them 1-8, A-H for example)and add them that way.

Thanks, this is perfect, doesn’t take too long at all particularly in this case as it was just one pattern.

Many Thanks @digimatt
