“that mountain looks like the cutoff slope on my Digitakt filter”…

Proper comedy gold

And, yeah, I’m with you all the way, every family holiday I’ve ever gone on I’m thinking “how much gear could I buy if I wasn’t here?”.

Except that’s only a small still voice in my head. I’ve never actually said it out loud. Or on video. Or on video that’s now on the internet :joy:

I can’t even get John Smith’s on tap at home, so there’s that.

Oh man, this is great stuff. Best vacation video ever. Even snuck the Raygun “dance” in there!

Thanks, that was a lot of fun. The Digitakt filter slope was my favourite moment.

Our jobs provide us certain travel opportunities, so we try to tack holidays on. But I remember toting up the cost of family holidays (me, now-ex-wife, two kids) when we didn’t do that. Really quite a lot. But there are some priceless memories. You just don’t know when they will happen. Maybe less chance of that in Majorca. But the Moog won’t generate priceless memories. Just eight-voice polyphony.

Neither.

I liked the Analog 4 t shirts.

In the other hand, train réplicas do generate great memories (my favorite uncle was into train replicas)

from the states though… just airfare to Majorca gets you pretty close to a Muse. could probably buy two after hotel, food, drinks, and fun.

My wife has zero qualms about spending $3,000 for 3 days of vacation. But if I say let’s spend $500 on music/electronics, she becomes Dave Ramsey and is all about fiscal responsibility.

The comparison from the States would probably be Canćun. But don’t make me look at it again. Partner had a conference there and I researched it and I was like “maybe I could do some birdwatching, but all the options are horrible”. And then COVID happened and everything went remote, fortunately.

I’m going to start calling my Prophet 6 a “family heirloom” to justify it.

Recently took a once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii and my husband announced the bill total after EVERY meal, snack, drink. This video brought me back :joy_cat:
