Sorry now, this might be very basic but I can’t seem to figure out if I can hold down notes in grid recording mode for more than one trig (and not retrigger the note every time). I sincerely hope it’s something that can be done. Would be annoying to have to do the holding live. Tried the trigless lock but don’t think that’s it. Sure ye might let me know,
Cheers.
You mean just playing a note longer than 1/16th note?
Go to Note and adjust LEN
The numbers are the number of steps it plays for
Aha! Right that also clears up the note thing. Lot of initial manual reading so that must’ve slipped me by. Slightly weird way of going about it but I can see where it will open things up. Great. Time to get my drone on!
This is very useful, Thank you both.
also, as an extra hint in case you didn’t already know, you can hold function down while moving the encoder for it to snap to commonly desired values.
for drones, you can also just make the note length infinite.
If I am not mistaken, the note still retriggers when it comes back around on the sequencer even when set to infinite. Is there a way around that or did I do something wrong? In my case I set a single trig on the first bar to INF with no other note trigs.

to be honest, i haven’t used the infinite note length much, but i just played around with it some. it behaves just as you describe, in that it triggers a new note every time the sequence reaches the trigger, even with the note length set to infinite.
one way i found around it is to start the sequence, letting the note trigger, and then place a trigger mute on the trigger, which lets the note ring out forever.
there might be some other tricks found by playing with the amp envelope settings and scale settings.
I know this is old, but I just came across it and I actually have an answer. You’re correct about the INF len, but to avoid the retrigger and/or having to manually turn off the trig etc. set the conditional trig to 1st. Then it won’t retrigger on each track seq cycle.
