Hipster Go To Sleep

So this is my first track with the Analog Rytm, made mostly from home-brew samples from my own gear.

Everything is put into the Rytm and then routed through two Minifooger Drive pedals, to get a vintage vibe to the whole thing.

I definitely overdid that part, but I just like those Moog dials too much and have to touch them all the time.

Feedback is much appreciated:

Hey, I really really like this! The distortion is maybe a bit too much if you were going for a polished, “pro” sound, but as a kind of lofi house oddity I think it really works. Maybe try overdriving everything but the lows, as they lose a bit of presence being that distorted. You’ve got a great sense of pace, it kept me interested for the full 6 minutes.

Thanks, great to hear! And great feedback, I’m always struggling with what’s going on in the lower parts, so I’m gonna take that feedback and apply it, see what happens. Much appreciated.

this. listening through crappy ipad phones, looking forward to enjoying the finer points with my monitors. great stuff to wake up to.

Thanks, you’re too kind. Hope you enjoy it on monitors as well. I don’t actually own any, I do my mixing in a bit of an odd way. Hopefully, the track works on finer audio devices as well. I wouldn’t know, yet.

Once again, really great stuff (added my kudos to this thread as well). Reminds me of:

Can’t wait to hear more!!

Now you’re making me blush. Thanks for the kind words. It’ll be awhile before more arrives, I tend to record five things and save just one, and then do something completely different than intended with that one. It’s a process, like most other things.
