We have 10 beat tapes already, and because they all contain multiple beats we probably broke the record for the total number of beats made for a single battle by now. I hope to get some more today!

Just finished mine. It felt like I was fighting a Kumite with the SP1200. Good sample selection on these folders.

Cool. I didn’t get a chance to finish yesterday. But I’ve got all day today. I think I can wrap it up. But either way, I’m going to see it through and share what I come up with.

Kids nowadays just use chatgpt to finish their essays. Thinking of it, the mission brief never mentioned you guys are not allowed to ask AI to create a full beattape, maybe we should add this for future battles

Submitted mine yesterday - had to make friends with that inner voice saying “Quit now, don’t bother”. The compromise made and agreed upon was that the NEXT time we do a madlib inspired beat tape (which I’m already looking forward to) we would incorporate all the last minute ideas of how it could be better.
@Doug I definitely remember those days.
@Sleepyhead - imagine someone “sneaks in” a AI generated version of this mission battle and then we see if it can be detected!

I sent mine in last night. I had originally planned to use a lot more samples. But I realized I was never going to finish it if I tried to track all of them down and arrange them. So I just called it done. Still pretty happy with how it came out.
But yeah, waiting until the last minute to do something, then blowing past the deadline but ultimately finishing is my learning style.
