Hey there everybody.
Sorry in advance if this was asked before, i just couldn’t find an answer to my problem.
I’m working in a live project, have the octa for 2 months, and already went thru the manual several times and learned quite a bit to get going. Thing is, i used Bank 1 fully, with it’s 4 parts, and today started with bank 2, and after some time working on Bank 2 Patterns i wen back to Bank 1, and my samples were changed for those in Bank 2. Which got me completely confused (and quite angry) since for what i understood each bank has four parts, right?
Can anyone point me out to what could happen?
Yeah each bank has 4 parts. But you have to be careful not to mess with the samples in the project sample slot list. Per project you have 128 slots for flex and 128 for static. But these lists/samples are shared between all banks/parts. So if you move/delete a sample from the slot list in one bank it will be moved/gone in all banks. And also it’s good practise to save Parts after any changes just in case. If these common accidents don’t sound like possible explanations for what’s happened there then I’m not sure but someone else can probably offer some help.
Ok ok, i might yeah, that’s just what happened, i just thought in my mnd, i guess, slots reiniciate when changing a bank. So if i use static slot 1 for track 1 static in one pattern, i should keep it there and not change that sample while in other Part - sample. And same thing applies to Flex slots. Right?
Just when you think you’re already going on, you missed the simplest stuff, feeling real dumb Thankfully i labelled all samples saying were they go.
