Hey everyone,
Hoping someone can help me troubleshoot a clocking issue I’m having.
I’m trying to send a clock signal from my Elektron Analog Four MKII to my Moog DFAM, and from there use the DFAM’s ADV/CLK out to send clock to my eurorack system (since I don’t currently have a MIDI-to-CV converter in the rack).
Here’s what I’ve tried:
- I’m using one of the A4’s CV outs to send clock to the DFAM’s ADV/CLK input.
- In the CV setup on the A4, I’ve experimented with different signal types: Clock, Gate, Trigger—none seem to give me a stable result.
- The DFAM does receive a signal, but the clock is noticeably delayed and inconsistent. It’s swaying and not tight at all, which throws everything off.
A few extra details:
- I made sure to match the clock tempo and settings on the A4.
- Cables are solid and have been tested.
- I tried sending just regular triggers at 16th intervals but still get the same jittery/sloppy clock.
Has anyone had success with this kind of setup? Am I missing something obvious in the A4’s CV config? Or is the DFAM’s clock input just not that reliable for tight sync?
Would love any advice or workarounds—especially from folks who’ve done something similar without a MIDI-to-CV module.
Thanks in advance!
