Help to connect DT + A4 + TB-3 (Solved)

Hello everyone, today I received DT, and now I’m trying to figure out how to sync my gear. So I have DT, A4, TB-3. My question is how to make routing so that my DT acts as a master clock. Thanks.

Midi out of the DT to midi in of the A4, midi out of the A4 into the tb, set A4 to not receive notes, and receive clock and send clock, and set midi channel/track on DT to same as TB, pick empty track on TB, now you have conditional trigs on the TB running from the DT. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks a lot, but problem is TB-3 has only OUT :))

I belive it has midi i/O via usb

Looks like you have midi in and out, no?

I mean audio out  i don’t have mixer…

That was just midi set up, I would take Tb in to A4 volume controls on fx channel osc 1, a4 into digitakt, direct mon on yes, then DT to amp/speakers. Any help?

Sorry, i did not understand this part - “a4 into digitakt, direct mon on yes”

So you want to route the audio? Not sync to the DT as a master clock?

After plugging the a4’s main outs into the digitakt , press the “direct” button located underneath the main screen of the digitakt. The H knob will control the parameter in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Turn it to yes. Audio plays thru your digitakt now.

I want route MIDI but I need to manage routing with sound as well  As I said before I don’t own mixer right now.

Ah OK.

DT and tb 3 could both route audio into the A4, then the a4 can just go into your interface.

The direct button on DT press that, and you will have a monitor option, this can be changed with encoder H to yes, so the sound comes in and you can send it to the out puts, chose the external source (audio coming in) with encoder G

Ok with midi is everything ok. Please can anyone with green and red color mark me a sound routing with “paint” or whatever you have  You will receive 1000 Karma points.

Well we’ve give two different ways to do it, but I guess we need to know exactly what you want to advise the best way.

Do you want to be able to sample the tb/a4?

Or do you just want to get everything thing into the recorder/computer?

If you want to sample the a4 or tb then youll want to follow @Delboy instructions

If you just want to get it all into a recorder or computer then go with what I suggest and stick the outs of the tb and the DT into the ins of the a4.

I’m not using DAW, maybe just for sound recording. I planned to connect all devices,so that DT would play part as the main clock. Also I want to control TB-3 with DT (midi channels), and be able to sample some sounds from my phone or radio.

Cool. That’s simple enough.

If you route into the A4 you can also use the fx on the analog 4 for the audio.

For midi do as has been suggested - out if DT into tb, and a4.

Just to avoid confusion - the DT is the master midi, and the analog 4 is the master audio hub. Think of it as a mixer.

Correct ?

That looks very much like a working solution mate.

Make sure you’re aware of how to get the sound coming through the analog 4 (not being patronising) and you’ll be golden.

Edit- although you might find running the tb as mono would give you an extra audio in on the analog 4 to play with
