My power supply for my octatrack mkii ( grey one) died recently
I figured I should ask before I fry my box are there ones that don’t work with certain variants of the mk2 or should basically all elektron power supplies be acceptable?

Think all the modern Elektron supplies are the same but as long as it’s 12v center positive, and minimum 2A then it’s all gravy.

Edit: Not all modern boxes

For MK1 Octatrack its only 6 Volt , not sure for MK2, i would definatly double check that.

Got it:

I had to look this up because I didn’t believe you - I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything with a 6v supply before

No, i just stated that the old had a 6 Volt PSU, we had many fried Octa MK1 in the past, that is why i pulled this out.

haha yea I answered in the first post though - 12v, center positive, 2A minimum - might want to hide the MKI adapter specs behind a spoiler tag as that might be confusing for anyone coming here in the future.

Defintiely useful to note though I wouldn’t have expected that - looks like some of the MKII’s use 6v too.

I think I’m gonna go with this:

It should be fine right?
