I have my OT now for a few months and i am still struggling with it.
I will try to explain the problem i have.
I created a new set, selected Bank 1 pattern A01 and part one. After I save the part and project and go on to the next pattern A02 and select part 2 I should be able to select different samples. I save part2 as well and go back to A01 and part 1. now all the samples selected are the samples I selected in A02 part 2. The same thing happens if I go to a different bank.
What could be the problem or do I just don’t understand how to use it?
i double clicked on track button and picked some different samples. it shouldn’t effect the other part or bank. I am working on a liveset but i am not making any progress like this.
Hehe. You have to keep in mind in a Projekt all Banks, Pattern and Parts are related to the same Samplemanager List. If samplemanager is Full, start a new projekt…
There is only 1 Static slot list of 128 samples and 1 Flex slot list of 128 samples (so 256 samples in total) per Project.
These 256 sample slots are shared by all Patterns / Parts / Banks.
If you need more, look into Chains.
The great thing about this structure is that it is easy to share samples across the Project and they only need to be replaced once to affect every use of that sample. The downside is that it is a little confusing at first.
I had my OT for over 5 months and I still have the same problem …My goal is simply to use my one shot samples in different patterns like a drum machine but never happened yet…I save my samples and save the parts and save the project …but if I do anything different today on my OT that means next time I load the sample I ll have to re slice it , adjust parameter all over again for the day use,…frustrating and forced me to rely on my Electribe E2 sampler for patterns and structure and OT is a mixer and backtrack player…it s a shame that I spent all that money just to use my machine as a toy to mangle sounds but to make it follow my commands is nearly impossible…
another issue maybe related maybe not but maybe Elektron can do a better job with pattern names instead of A1 or B7 !!! which means nothing when you are looking for the song or rhythm you created specially in a live situation on stage…
