Help me with syncing my EHX 2880!

Okay, I have worked at this for as long as I have owned this wicked beast (5 months give or take)

I know it goes proper deep and I haven’t scraped the surface, but my biggest issue so far is trying to connect my EHX 2880 looper with it. I want to sync them together so that I can record loops from my external synths (which don’t have midi) into the looper.

My problem is that I can’t figure out how to get the octatrack to tell the 2880 to start and stop, or to even keep it in time. Is there something in the menu/settings that I need to change? I thought it would be quite straight forward, I have the 2880 ready for sync but I just cant trigger it.

So far I am setting up a midi track on the same midi channel as the 2880 and putting one trig on the first note. That isn’t working though.

Hopefully someone out there runs a setup thats similar and can help a brother out

If the OT is set up as master clock and set to send clock and transport and your EHX is set to rcv external clock (pg22) as master then you should be in business, I don’t have ehx btw

hey, no bother, i should crack out my Lexicon JamMan (the original one folks) to remind myself how much fun a robust midi clockable looper can be, wish it recorded stereo though !
