Sounds like the ringing sound is a separate sound. There’s off beat bass, and the ringing follows that (has a delay on it), occasionally does a double hit where the bass does not

What DAW are you using, maybe I can help. Wavetable for sure, but not all of it. If you are using Ableton there is a new module called Bass.amxd that has all the above. Oh syntakt jesus. If it has a ring modulator, then you should get the initial sound fairly quickly.

I would layer two sounds:

The low end using SY BITS with low pass filtering
The overtone part using a high pass filtered SY BITS with both srr and brr. Maybe som overdrive as well.

This way you can adjust the two parts of the spectrum independently - making the low end sit tightly, and give the top end the right amount of grit/edge.

yeah, layering sounds is really the only way I can think of getting close. The other thing is this bass is very stereo which sounds like either chorus or some other effect. Definitely difficulty to get this exactly sound with just a syntakt. Maybe closer with a Syntakt and a Digitakt 2 using its chorus.

I had a go at this. Didn’t quite get there with the dryness/tightness of the sub bass. You may try using the SY Raw for the sub to improve it. Also there’s a lot of compression in this track affecting the amplitude envelope of the bass sound, which is a bit tricky to mimick.

Here are some snapshots.

First the the low end bass. There are no LFOs or anything so these three screens capture the whole sound.

Next. Same goes for the gritty SRR part. Both sounds use the AHD volume envelope.

Suggestions for improvements:

there is some stereo movement in the top end «grit» part, this could possibly be achieved by copying and duplicating the track, panning the original to the left and the copy to the right. Then add some very slight LFO to for example pitch on one of the tracks. Just a slight offset of one parameter or the other will create a stereo effect.
A lot more effort can be put into the amplitude envelope. Their are now similar for bort the low end and gritty part, but in the original track they differ a little.
Try running the gritty part through the FX track for some additional texture.
