Hi there,
Just bought the analog keys off an ebay seller and want to make sure it’s working okay.
i’ve reset the machine to its factory settings and can play the already loaded pattern, but don’t know how to clear it or start my own.
i can use everything except for the sequencer.
if someone could tell me how to get this simple thing going i’d be very grateful.
i have had a mm, md and ot for years so i know what i’m doing usually, but just getting into sequencer mode is tricky for me with this.
cheers
To clear a pattern, hold function and play (clear). Depending on what mode (if rec light is on or not) you’re in it will clear just the track, or the entire pattern.
To start from a blank pattern, choose banks E,F,G or H. Switch from A-D to E-H with 'bank switch button.
Hold down button under E, and press one of the 16 step buttons. These are your 16 free slots.
Load up a kit, and select a track. Then you have two ways to record.

hold rec, the play. Rec light blinks, and this is ‘live.’ The steps go round in a loop and you can play patterns in, and it will record them. There is an option to quantise on note entry on one of the menus, can’t remember now which one!
-
Press record so rec light is on (not blinking). Now press steps to turn them on like a step sequencer. To change a note, hold the step button and press a key. To change the length of a note, press note button. Then hold donw step button and dial up the length parameter. You can even change the sound on a step by holding the step button and dialling the wheel.
That’s the basics anyway, change the step length with the page button…
I hope you find this useful. I haven’t found this a very active forum. Two of my posts have gone completely unanswered… Pretty simple questions.
Thanks mate. Really appreciate that. I messed around with it before and worked out how to do a couple of things, but you’ve filled in all the blanks.
Many thanks again for your help
No problem at all
Cuckoo has posted an vid on YT for one hour where he shows how to use the sequencer. It’s very good.
