Help! Can't find an old music video for the life of me [SOLVED]

Hello there. I distinctly remember watching a music video for a pretty neat footwork-ish song with fantastic drums. I thought I remembered the name and artist but I cannot seem to find it or any reference to it anywhere on the internet! I thought perhaps some of you fine elektronauts might be able to help me identify the song and keep me from going insane :smile:

Clues that I may or may not be mis-remembering

  • Linked from one of the old Elektronaut Talks with Neybuu? Or somehow related to her

  • It was called “Milk Drop”

  • Visuals included silhouette figures dancing in all black, with lots of slo-mo shots

  • Another distinct visual was a milky liquid being splashed on the dancing feet’s shoes

Milkdrop was (or I guess is) an old visualizer plugin, probably originally for winamp. Maybe search as 1 word instead of 2?

Chatgpt helped me find an old music video from the 80’s, by describing what I remember. I was shocked it worked, got a few suggestions but the answer was there.

I mean at least the first two refer to generic Winamp Visualizer plugins.

Edit: Or not! I was picturing video toaster transitions but looks like this one is mostly live beyond some video synth patterns.

You could just go to their Youtube Channel as I did to find the video :slight_smile:

There’s enough Reddit training on popular things that GPT might work, but nothing I’m ever looking for seems to have enough discussion for that to be worthwhile, and now even Google web search is being deprecated in favor of LLM spew.

Don’t even get me started on how poorly Lens works after they prioritized that shit over Image Search functionality.

Not a visualizer, my first post was a little confusing. I was trying to describe scenes from the music video

I can see that now, I was merely noting the correlation between your recollection of the title and the name of the visualizer plugin, and then that the plugin was a single word. I understood you were talking about milk on shoes, there was no mistaking that fact no matter how hard I tried.

Gotcha, yeah my mind might have inserted the title from winamp into the memory. Starting to wonder if the whole thing was a dream or has actually been scrubbed from the internet.

ChatGPT told me that DJ Rashad - Milk Drop and Neybuu - Milk Drop both exist, but I can’t find any actual tracks. Oh well

omg yes!!! That’s it for sure. Squirt Cherry != Milk Drop at all :laughing: Winamp must have wormed it’s way into my memory banks. I swear I checked her youtube channel and didn’t see this before. Thank you @thermionic

The answer had somehow not been webcrawled by description but if you enter the song title there’s a few hits for neybuu, like discog’s etc.
