It’s always a bit intimidating to present your work to a bunch of more talented people. But nevertheless, I am happy to share my new album with you:
Don’t hang up because of the intro. It might feel a bit cheesy – but when I started with the first track around 18 months ago, this felt like right to set the mood I wanted to achieve with the album. I promise it will get better afterwards
For most tracks I started with the wavetable or granular engines from the Iridium for pads and atmospheres. On top there is some Digitone and loops from my (semi)modular machines. Mainly Noise Engineering Alia, Strega and Subharmonicon. Would be happy if you find some time during the holidays to give it a listen. And let me know what you think of it.
Congrats! I‘ve also skimmed and what I heard sounds excellent! I‘m not in the mood for this kind of music right now but will return to it when I am, wishlisted.
Incredible work. Held my attention but never asserted itself. The whole album is full of beautiful atmospheres and places and textures swirling around. I think my favorite song is Kyalau.
I’m glad you released this Album. It’s very good. Slow evolving Ambient like I love with some touch of well thought Sounds and Drums. Simple and complex Textures dancing together so well. Bravo for your release.
Thanks so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate it! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the album I do feel like I’ve made some progress. But it’s always hard to judge your own work objectively
Thank you for taking the time to listen through the whole album - that really means a lot to me! Kyalau was actually the last track I finished for the album, and it’s also one of my favorites. I especially like the contrast between the soft melodic éléments and the rougher bass and drum sounds. It was also the first time using the Basilimus Iteritas Alia. But I’m sure it will be featured more in upcoming tracks
