My rapper friend, who I have pissed off for years in our collaborations by occasionally putting autotune on his vocals, recently introduced me to Lil Yachty, which inspired me to write this terrible song and use autotune on my voice for the first time.
Track was made with Monomachine and Rytm going into a mixer, then hitting Oto Biscuit (tube saturation mode), Bim (100% wet for a bit of limiting), Bam (subtle room reverb), RNLA (some extra compression to tighten things up), and recorded through a Duet. Vocals added afterwards in Logic.
It’s not a direction I plan on pursuing, but I laughed a lot while making this so might do a couple more like it.
