Turned on my Heat (mk1) after a few weeks … Strange glitch on my screen!!
Anyone know why this is happening
Dang man, looks like your screen is starting to fail. Are you under warranty?
I’m looking at getting a heat and the mk1 prices are tempting but might buy new because of issues like this
Sadly not - its a pretty old machine, picked it up when it just came out.
oh well!
It’s unlikely but I was able to repair the screen on an old roland mc 505 by locating the ribbon cable and gently heat the end near the LCD with the tip of a clothes iron.
It was near blank but returned 100% after 10 minutes.

I would still try to contact support about it. Even if your AH isn‘t covered by warranty anymore this shouldn’t happen on a device that expensive.

I still have the film on mine, when my screen will start to glitch, maybe I’ll take it off to compensate!

Mpc 2000 and 2000xl owners dealt with lines on their screens until the very end. It’s not too bad. Run it until the wheels fall off
