HeadRush Looperboard

Haven’t seen this on the board so just putting it on people’s radar, seems a pretty serious looper.
(Of course I’ll stick with Octatrack…)

And just when I’d convinced myself to stick with the Octatrackfor looping… this looks like my looping dream machine (I’ll probably still stick with the Octatrack for looping now that I’ve gotten the hang of the Pickup Machines).

My keyboard player buddy is getting one and is super stoked about it. As a looping guitar player I’d be all about it, looks next level for a loop pedal, but alas I have an Octatrack and I’m sticking to it. Pre-slicing, warping, scenes, yada yada yada… Would be redundant at this point with an OT but I can’t say it doesn’t look appealing…

Yeah, me too. I have plenty of simple loopers, including a maxed out Lex Jamman. However, the Octatrack is so much a part of my workflow that it only makes sense to use it as a looper as well.

That was my fourth looping device (immediately bought/upgraded in a frenzy at time of release) if i also allow myself to include the hold mode on the long-chip DD2 … MicroLoopsTM

Digitech TimeMachine 7.6 is the naughtiest

Still have them all - yet to find a better device than og JM in terms of MIDI/stereo(mon rec)/fun - especially paired with the Vortex - been close to picking up a DittoX4 on a few occasions (double speed is essential)

OT, whilst flexible/fun, is a bit too much of a faff (and large footprint ) imho to set up for that purpose (with pedal etc) and that device up top looks too OTT - i wish somebody would make ‘the one’ … still waiting

I still have the Vortex I picked up at the the same time, too. And I’ve owned most of the Time machine line… in fact the blue dual pedal job (can’t remember the model number) was the very first pedal I ever bought. I currently have the RDS8000 in my rack.

Looping on the Octatrack is indeed less than intuitive (lots to set up ahead of time), and I’m often torn between using pickup and flex to do it. I feel like the pickup machines are kind of redundant with proper dedicated loopers in my rack, but looping with flex machines is a bit special and all of the other functions available to the Octatrack make it appealing to me as a looper - if not a terribly immediate one!

Oh, snap! I do love a mega-looper; this looks like it might knock my Pigtronix Infinity off the top spot… 9 HOURS of recording time?! Damn.

Edit: Cursory overview of the site and specs means I’m gonna have to have this at some point :joy:

Can it do individual track lengths?

Free Mode: This mode is useful for creating ambient soundscapes or for musicians who just like to break the rules! In this mode:
• You can record, overdub or play all looper tracks simultaneously.
• All looper tracks can be different lengths.
• When you set a track to record, overdub or play, it will happen immediately.

Other Modes: (I think these settings apply to other modes besides free, there’s several)
-Set Loop Length: This setting determines the default loop size, if any. Set to On to enable a set number of bars for your loops, from 0–64 bars. Tap the number to the right and then use the encoder to set the number of bars for all loops. Set to Off to disable the predetermined loop length.

-Length:
Use footswitches 3–6 to adjust the length of the full loop by 1/2, 2X, 4 or 8X. If the minimum or maximum length limits have been reached, unavailable options will be grayed out.
The total loop length will be shown in the box below.

Might be more options:

This is not just a simple looping device
