i am having a real strugg with my ins outs and hadphones (nothing to do with cueing)
Basically i cant get anything out of the left ear from the headphones out. weird. also i can understand why i cant properly pan stereo inputs. does anyone else have problems with either of these 2
one last wuestion, sorry to confuse the thread but… is there a way of separating the signal coming in from the effects applied to the master track?
Sorry I can’t speak to the pan question.
You can pass the input signal directly to the output by turning up the ‘dir’ setting in the mixer pane but that bypasses the ‘thru’ as well. Is that what you mean or do you want the thru but not the master? As far as I know, there is no routing as you describe.
i just discovered thrus and neighbors. they are great
the headphones are still silent in one ear though
i was hoping it was some sort of routine problem
i don’t really want to send away my OT and be without it for weeks
try a different project/cf card. just a thought…
Since you haven´t stated anything obvious about what kind of tests you´ve done in this case. I´ll suggest a few things that you might already have done (more or less).
[ol]
[li]First of all, determine that the headphone isn´t the culprit here. Do you get stereo separation (L and R) if connected to any other audio source?[/li]
[li]If yes, then determine that the OT haven´t got any hardware issues. By performing an test of its hardware:[/li]
[/ol]
[ul]
[li]Start up in “early startup menu” (as described at p.140 in manual). Hold Function while power up.[/li]
[li]Select option 1 in menulist (testmode).[/li]
[li]Insert external audio at Input A,B.[/li]
[li]Listen that you get both signals from A and B, in the headphone output (left and right respectively).[/li]
[/ul]
If the answer to both of above are OK, then it is likely something in your project/settings.
