Headphones, 250 Ohm or 600 Ohm preference

Hi
Just enjoying my first day with the AK.
I’m just noticing my 600 ohm Beyer DT990 is a bit quite, and my 32 ohm AudioTec M50x is a bit “zizzy”.

Anyone tried those impedance levels and 250 Ohm Headphones too?
Care to share the comparisons?
I read elsewhere here that the AK can be quite without a bit of tweaking, but I’m wondering if the 600 Ohm will always be too soft?

I see there’s an AudioTec ATH rMX70 that’s 470 Ohm (perfect match for the 50ohm output) anyone using those? They’re going cheap at the moment, worth a listen ¿

I have the DT990 250 ohms and they are nice and loud with both AR and A4.

Do you notice any artifact with particular patches?

Not sure what you mean. I dont normally connect headphones directly to either of those since I’m monitoring though a motu 8a and then a presonous monitor station so I have good control over levels. The phones sound great. If I was going to be super picky I would say that at low frequencies with some timbres there can be a slight vibration in the shell that becomes noticeable. I dont hear this with the DT770s (which are closed back and 80 ohm) but I prefer the more open sound of the DT990s so mostly they are the ones I use, especially for longer sessions.

Yeh, that answers my question perfectly. Thanks.

At the moment I’m trying the headphone-out on the AK. I usually go thru a mixer, but like to plug in to individual synths headphone when composing.
