HD transfer help needed

Hey guys just a quick one hope you can help :slight_smile:

I have an ssd hd from a my failed laptop containing a previous installation of windows 10. I just want to grab two important folders from the drive containing 50gb of data, does it matter its a C drive with windows 10 installation or can I just dock the drive browse the folders I need and drag and drop the files over usb? Guy in the store made it out to be some cryptic nightmare.

Assuming you didn’t damage it when the laptop failed and that you did not encrypt it, you should be fine.

no damage but i’m unsure if it was encrypted by default when I bought the laptop. You telling me about encryption has helped with my google searching thanks hellcore.
