Happening: Midwest Octatrack Workshop

I can bring at least 1 op1, maybe 2 if I still have both. Just to make things quicker. Also, not sure if a go pro will work as a live stream camera, but I think so. I can bring that as well if you’d like.

Maybe could being my AK if I have a case for it and if it’s needed. Let me know what I can do to help.

Since there will be a camera setup, would it be possible to record and post online? Or, even better, live stream? =P

Allerian, perhaps someone in your area has a document camera, or your local library/k12 school has one you can loan. We use some of these at my work; they are great for such things: http://www.samsungpresenterusa.com/products/productdetails.asp?ProductID=21

Plus they record audio and video to SD.

Cheers,
c

Of course you’re welcome to bring stuff but I think we’ll have enough sound sources. Can’t go wrong with an extra OP-1 tho!

Okay, I have updated the CAMEONEKIT download in the original post. All samples are now 44khz.

@Suicidelane Exactly! I will look into that. I’ve got a gopro but I don’t recall it working as a live broadcast cam.

Camera/monitor solved. Really looking forward to this!

I got a message the other day and delta has changed my flight details for after the event. I was originally flying out around 7ish and they moved the flight up to 5pm. How far is the airport from the facility and do you think I’ll have enough time to make it there and through security?

It’s a 15 minute drive due south to the airport from the Grand Avenue Mall. If you leave at 3pm it is no problem to get there and Mitchell is as streamlined as most modern airports.

Sorry I missed this post for a week!

Two weeks people! This workshop will be an OT knowledge bomb. :alien:

+1 on the livestream or audio/video download afterward. Really intrigued and happy you are doing such an event, KUDOS. Too bad im not in that area.

+1 on that stream or recording…tix are way to much at the moment to fly out to Wisconsin…

One week to go! Totally jazzed to drop the knowledge.

Reminders:

Bring the cable I suggested.

Load the sample pack.

Bring awesome snacks.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I have a 1/8" to dual 1/4" plug cable lying around somewhere.

Any cool shows to check out Friday night?

Thanks!
And I found my cable!

Is Discovery World worth a visit for an adult? Looks like it might be meant more for kids.

Yes, Discovery World is pretty kid-oriented, but the music section is worthwhile. They have a Reactable and Contunuum along with some other interesting stuff.

The Harley-Davidson Museum is worth checking out, even if you’re not a rider.
