I’m totally new here and also new to Elektron gear / electronic devices in general.
So excuse me if the question is stupid. I’ve searched the forum and didn’t find my answer.
Ok, I’m playing around with my AK and trying to create some cool patterns but I’m having issues recording in grid mode when the ARP is on. Live recording is not a problem, it works all the time.
So, my issue is : if I’m in grid recording mode, when I press a trig and play a note on the keyboard, it records only one note like if the ARP mode was OFF while I clearly hear the notes. My ARP is set on TRU with a SPD at 6 and RNG 3.
The insane thing is that on another pattern, I manage to grid record while doing the exact same thing…
I’ve looked around / compared things and I don’t see what’s the difference. What am I doing wrong so that I get only one note when grid recording like if the ARP was off ?

Outside of ‘live Rec’ mode you need to define note length on that parameters page or it’ll only be one step long hold the step sequencer button you want to lengthen and navigate to the setting.

Hold a trig in grid mode and play a chord : the notes will be plucked in the Note page (or is it Arp page ?)
When in Live Rec mode, I believe one has to hit the whole chord for it to be plocked.
It doesn’t work if you’re holding a 3 notes chord and add one note to your chord : only the last one is plocked unfortunately…
You have note length set for the amount of steps you want the arpeggio to play for right? Otherwise you’ll just hear the first step of the arpeggio, which will be one note.
Don’t forget, when you’ve set your length, that it will reset each time it returns to the initial trig. If you want the Arp to play continuously without resetting, set it to inf, and remove to turn the first trig off after its been activated.
