GRID looping is causing pops and clicks

:expressionless: Off course, sine waves are used to clearly identify distortion or clicks. Digitakt 2 uses a strict grid. If it clicks, it means the sample doesn’t match the grid.

You’re talking about lack of features for the price in 2024, that’s another debate. GRID works as intended. Apparently no issue here.

But as I said above the click at the beginning of sample playback with any machine is an issue to me. Doesn’t happen with OT.

Requires a feature most devs call Crossfade. DT1/2 don’t have it, and if this is your workflow, an Akai or Roland or similar sampler is what you’re looking for.

I don’t need crossfading.
I had no issues doing what I need on the OT; simply zoom in, snap my start/end to zero crossings, experiment finding good loop points, and away you go

This topic is discussed all over the place. A post to pull it all together for anyone searching in future.

Elektron definitively stated that zero-crossing detection was switched off for GRID machine on DT2 (by comparison to DT1). This is a contributor to more clicks/pops in GRID machine in particular.

Other places there is a substantial conversation

In addition to much discussion in general purpose threads such as feature requests, bug reports and Introducing DT2.

PhD level research on the subject, right here, right now. Thanks! :microscope: :dna: :page_with_curl:
