GoldBaby 909 samples versus raw 909 samples

Anyone here have experience loading their own 909 samples as opposed to using the GoldBaby samples? I feel like when I had my tr909 (I sampled it to hell) the samples I had created sounded better than GoldBaby’s? Is this because all the original transients are still in tact?

I don’t know why I feel the RYTM GoldBaby samples are lacking character and 3 dimensionality…

Just wondering… I’m goi g to work on slicing my samples and loading them tonight

I don’t have a Rytm yet, so I can’t speak to Goldbaby’s work in that context yet. But, I have most of Goldbaby’s library and…

He’s the man! His samples of all the classic drum machines are the best I’ve heard.

He adds a lot of character. Everything is definitely very processed, but they still sound raw, new.

His Warda2 pack is my go to for drums.
