Taking the idea from @Barfunkel for having a single thread for tracks, here’s another!

Been having fun with the filters on the Monomachine, together with its LFOs to turn a flat sounding Ensemble machine into something more organic sounding. It’s definitely my favourite Monomachine machine at this point in time!

When the sequencers have been stopped, the Ensemble machine tail continues to play, affected by its LFO. Normally I’d cut the tail, but it sounded quite interesting so I chose to record it for a while…

Looking up song/chaining functions on my Elektron gear now(!)… Must… make… something… longer… than… 64 steps…!

OT, MD and A4

My first track that includes the OT! I’m slowly feeling my way around it, but so far, so creative(-ish)

Enjoyed mucking around switching between 2 parts on the OT, something quite cool about being able to re-use patterns with different samples and automations etc…

Digging the ones labeled 5.10.13 and 10.10.13, very nice Detroit-y vibes again!

Didn’t feel 17.10.13 so much, it’s melodies were clearly weaker than on the previous tracks.

Yeh, I’m not as happy with the 17.10.13 track to be honest. There wasn’t a lot of thought given to how it would build up, but I reckon it could turn into something a bit better, just needs structure!

Another short idea!

I’ve just re-discovered my Korg OASYS PCI. It’s a wonderful piece of kit, but sometimes a little tedious to work with as it’s hosted in a separate computer that you need to boot up etc.

Originally I had it set up with my MIDI keyboard controller which was nice, but lacked the flexibility I needed to get it really integrated into my production ‘flow’.

Now I have it hooked up to the MIDI out of my Monomachine and finding that the Parameter Locks on MIDI CC work very well (as it was the first time I’d used Elektron gear to do any form of MIDI out control).

So, everything in the track is sequenced on the Machinedrum (for the drum parts) and on the Monomachine. The Monomachine sequences the bass and ripply-arp synth on the OASYS PCI, and also provides some ambient sounds from its internal synth engine.
