Ghost lfos?

anyone ever had lfos going that are working even though they shouldn’t be and set to zero speed and depth?

i was using a bunch of thru and neighbor tracks and all of a sudden every other bar on one track would cut out. i wasn’t using lfos but i checked and moved the knobs toward zero to make sure there wasn’t a small value, no scenes, cleared out effects, removed the neighbor tracks, unplugged midi in and out, removed and replaced trigs, cleared the pattern. nothing. the only thing that was getting it to go away was to load a new thru machine.

even though the lfos were on zero the periodicity of the sound cutting out relative to the tempo made me look at the actual lfo menu and i changed the target of the lfo, which was still at zero speed and depth, from input ab and that fixed it, the sound stopped cutting out. i changed it back to input ab without changing anything and it remained working as normal.

this is actually the second time it happened today, but the first time i couldn’t figure it out. i had been using a master track which i don’t often do and had turned it off. maybe that had something to do with it. i think each time it might have started when i un-muted track 5 which was above the problem track, no idea why that would do it…

Have you accidentally assigned the LFO value to a scene? That kind of mystery has happened to me, until I realised I had accidentally attatched the value to a scene on the crossfader.
It was a real head-smacking moment!

this has happened to me a few times,
i found i had to re - reset the levels to zero (even though they already where at zero)
then re-save the part,
often having to do this a few times untill it went away
