I took a break from the brooding A4 acid, and did something dirty, lofi & rough. All sounds are machinedrum only. There has been absolutely no post processing. The only compression used is from the machinedrums compressor. Cheers:) http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12535159
@ Ryan… thanks for the listen man. I’m sorry to hear you sold your machinedrum:(
@ Daren, thanks for the comment man. It means a lot coming from you. Your “Summer in Detroit” is (to me) the epitome of how cool a single machine techno jam can be. The ribbon solo was wild, and the way to did the pitch drop with the portamento tweak is wicked.
Thanks for the listen man. Although I like making melodic acid stuff I also have a soft spot for simple crunchy techno, and the machinedrum is really good at that. From everything to the 12 bit sample rates, the SRR, BRR, filters, reverses with RR & RP… it’s the ultimate ghetto tech machine:)
What inspired this was… I was driving to work and listening to some of the tracks I made over the last 4 months. (My car system sucks, so it’s a good way to check my levels). Most of the songs were pleasant to my ears, but not necessarily the songs I would want to dance to, they were more of the “holy crap, I’m really messed up, I need to sit on the sofa and mellow to this acid for awhile”. I wanted to make some bangers that would get people dancing and into a state where the would have to say “man… I need to slow down, go to the other room, sit on a sofa, and melow to some of that acid”
