Hi all,
I’ve tried to answer this with the manual and Google but haven’t found anything conclusive so I hoped someone who owns a 7040 can help.
I’m contemplating adding a sub to my 8030s. I can’t see myself wanting to run them without the sub very often, but if I do want to, can I just switch the sub off and it will pass through the full range incoming audio to my 8030s, or would I have to swap all the cables around (i.e. take the sub out of the chain)?
I appreciate the 7050 has a proper bypass jack, but I don’t need the 5 channels and I think the 7040 is big enough for my room. I also get that having bypass on a foot switch could be handy if you’re wanting to do that all the time, but as I said I don’t envisage wanting to bypass the sub very often, so I’d be happy enough reaching under my desk to press the on/off switch on the sub. I’d just rather not have to swap cables about.
Thanks in advance.
