Gear that you wish it came back

What stuff do you wish it was still around and doesn’t exist anymore. Like: “how could they discontinue it!” Maybe more underground stuff, not things like the juno 60. But post what you like.

Mine is the computer midi audio interface all in one:

And the 2000 grooveboxes. I guess the red & blue electribes are still relevant but things like the mc909 or yamaha grooveboxes would be awesome to see back.

Nice Romplers that are not also workstations, yet also have the modulation to let you get weird.

I miss Ensoniq. In particular, EPS / ASR samplers and they did other interesting FX units and keyboards too.

There needs to be a new Tascam 424 so that scalpers will stop charging crazy over the top prices for shitty, poorly performing, never-been-serviced 4 track tape recorders from the 80’s & 90’s.

F’reals! Or just someone making decent mechanisms for cassettes so recordable walkmans don’t produce so much noise.

The Medusa. They gave up on it too soon. I’d love an mk2.

Dreadbox have great taste in collaborations.

It will never happen 1:1 because the chips are no longer manufactured. It would be some sort of emulation if it ever did happen.

Everything is an emulation, even “the original”.

I’m just waiting for the Oberheim DXM to be relaunched

Emulator X3 . I would pay Creative Professional 100 US a year to keep this program updated.

Battery 3. The GUI makes sense even now . The stock kits were also worth its weight in gold.

KORG Triton Extreme. It’s digital but it sticks to your brain.

DSI poly evolver . Now that I know synthesis well I think I could do damage with it now.

Matriarch in dark. Hate the clown colours and no way I’m paying extra because they discontinued the Dark version.
