Hello,
Looking for advise.
How do I eliminate/reduce the clicking sound from the FX track?
Here’s an example. At around 11 sec, I muted the FX track.
Thanks!

Hard to tell, are you using the FX block sequencer? My first guess would be that it’s something to do with sudden movements with the amp or filter envelope retriggering the FX block.
Yeah. Sometimes if I have FX block sequencing something I have to add a little attack or decay to the amp. Like 3 to the attack to soften it a little.
Yes, I’m using the FX block sequencer. I have one of the steps in the FX block locked to a different filter frequency/resonance setting. I guess that’s what’s causing the clicking sound?
I tried to adjust attack and release on the amp and filter envelopes but it does not help.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Tried this but it does not seem to do anything.
Could it be the filter envelope reset switch on page 2? Maybe try with that on and off and see what differences it makes? Same with the amp page.
I’m trying this out with mine right now and if I have the attack and decay pretty low with the amp depth at 127, I get some pops
Alright yeah sorry maybe not that. For me it seems to be the amp page attack and decay speed. I’m testing it on a pattern with all 12 tracks going through the FX block
There are some other considerations to fully understand envelope parameters. For instance, adjusting the decay might not affect clicking if the envelope has a long hold time, as the sound hasn’t reached the decay stage before it’s retriggered. This video explains it more clearly than I could.
Right yeah step lengths for the sequenced triggers on the FX block could effect it as well
Let us know what you learn and what works! I’m kind of guessing and thank you for encouraging me to play around with mine!
It looks like adjusting the synth track’s decay helps reduce the clicking
Here’s what I captured. At 14 sec I reduced the synth “kalimba” track decay - which also reduced the clicking sound. At around 28 sec, the FX track is on mute and synth track increased decay - no clicking.
It seems to be a combination of the synth track decay and the FX track that causes the clicking sound.
When I’ve had click issues, I have always been able to solve it by messing with some combination of FX env params, filter env params and synth env params. My understanding is that it’s caused by wave cycles restarting mid-phase or envelopes opening / closing / restarting too abruptly. But those clicks can make you chase them down sometimes! Glad you got it figured out in this case.
