Fx send & return

Hello

I have recently purchased a Soundcraft efx12 to put all my synths and drumcomputers trough.
Now I don’t fully understand the fx send and return.

I want to put my signal from Model:Cycles into mixer and be able to put fx on it via electribe. So when I open fx knob I hear the signal change.

I’m sorry if this is a noob question but I can’t seem to find any good videos on this. And yes I have checked the manual but it also doesn’t really help.

Thanks in advance!

The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.

I guess you need the aux out & stereo return in order to send and return to an external effect, in this case the electribe.

Then you turn the aux knob on the m:c channel and the volume on the stereo return channel.

Thanks for the reply! I’m guessing I need to go from aux out to electribe and then back into stereo return. Do I have to use audio in on electribe and then use jack to connect back to stereo return? Could you elaborate a bit more?

I’m gonna test after work today. Thanks in advance!

Yes.

But I don’t know * about Electribes, so if you share the model you use I (or someone else) might help you out.

I use an Electribe 2 (the blue one). It has audio in and I know how to set that up. I just have to figure out where to put my jacks in.

So… Mixer aux out to electribe audio in, then take osc audio in and put the gate time to TIE. Then from electribe to stereo return i guess. I’m more of a visual learner so I’ll update when I’m actually trying it.

Again thanks for helping me!

That sounds very plausible to me. You might use the headphone out as well as audio out, but start with the normal Audio Out. Just try, can’t go really wrong, just trial & error.
