FX Audio Routing

I think this has been answered somewhere but cant find the thread to make sure but here goes . I have been using my RYTM using the main output but I connected it up using the individual outs yesterday but no fx were on the individual sounds , are the fx channels only on the main and is there any workaround so i can record them on each track in my daw (ableton) .

hey neil, check out the architecture diagrams pulled from the RYTM spec page

the FX returns are post mixer and are on the stereo bus mix, so the individual outs will only have the dry drum sounds.

AFAIK the only way to record each drum sound individually with the FX is to solo each track in to your DAW

no sweat. lets hope overbridge will help with tracking in situations like this… perhaps an easy way to just drag and drop dry tracks from inside the DAW to the stereo bus for re-processing. this would be lovely!

but a solution for this could be to use your main outs aswell as the individual outs but then in Track routing menu, turn all the tracks off.

Therefore… in theory - all tracks will be coming out separately of the individual outs and then you will have your FX coming out your main outputs.

it works this way

with a big mixer, you can use individual outs as dry signal, and the mains as the FX out.
