Future House Rytm Pack

Yes! Finally an inspiring pack for the Rytm - am loving this! Finally finished setting up my patchbay so I can now route each of the independant Rytm outs straight into the OT, so Future House Mangle set here I come. Go the long weekend here in NZ, destined to be lived at 129bpm  Enjoying the 8 scenes and 8 Perfs

Downloaded, anyone else experiencing really long and slow transfer rates using C6 and a mac?

Seems pretty quick to me via USB. The first couple of samples were way bigger than the rest, so certainly took a bit longer.

Have you set your Rytm up like this to connect via USB:

Function Global>MIDI CONFIG>MIDI PORT CONFIG>INPUT FROM: USB?

Took just few minutes to load the whole sample set.

The first time I had the input set to MIDI only and that will take forever at 30kbps!

Hope that helps, or are you setup like that already?

Yes, did you transfer the samples as SDS or WAV format? thanks by the way.

Curious though, why is it called Future House? Sound like normal House music to me… Is it just so that youngsters can once again segregate their trendy preferences (ā€œits not like that house music that those old dudes listen toā€) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I would rather see a patch collection, than a sample collection.

Its an analogue machine using digital samples . Just a thought

If you load the Sysex project file you get synth patches, performance pads and scenes to modulate the patches, plus you have samples to layer as you like. Way more than just a bunch of samples

The Sound Pack contains 1 Project, 16 Patterns, 16 Kits (each featuring unique scene and performance macros), and 64 samples (16 bit/48 kHz/mono) including: 9 bass, 1 crash, 1 ride, 6 FX, 1 hihat, 1 open hihat, 9 kicks, 1 percussion, 3 piano riffs, 1 shaker, 1 snare, 6 claps, 16 synths, 1 tambourine, 5 vocal and 2 orchestral hits. Total sample size: 11.7 MB.

Anything that’s available now can’t be future anything though, the kits are all called deep house

Will I get a download link from elektron, if I bought this pack ?

Once your orders complete you log into you customer zone on the Elektron site and download from there. Am excited to be getting back in it today

dont bother if u are actually enjoying such packs. it gets me mad.

they have time to do such vids and release overpriced sample packs for a machine that lacks content anyway and still misses a few features written in the manual since 9 months?

sorry, elektron, this kinda sample packs let me feel u treat me as a retarded lame wannabe kid that cries for attention to get exploited.

why not release an ios app ā€˜how to become the next david guetta with AR’ with a few annotated screenshots for 20$?

not totally serious, but do this stuff for free really, did not understand how u can chaege the 808/909 packs too.

Anyway, drum samples from tr machines and just about everything else can be found on the web.

I will be buying this pack (my first one) because I do like the sounds and I’d like to see how it’s organized and programmed

I just wanted to make you aware that these videos, sample packs and other promo material are put together by somebody else whom is not developing update OSs, coding Overbridge and writing manuals. So these promo updates does not steal time from other on going things inside Elektron.

Any type of sample can be searched n found over internet, downloaded, trimmed and uploaded into an AR. But this takes time and not everybody wants to go through this process. These sample packs allows users to have access to ready made content with patterns and kits to give inspiration.

Hello Cenk

One question, are there any plans to develop pure analog synthesis sound packs as opposed to sample based. I have all the packs, I know for example the Reshaped comes with a mix of sampe/synthesis, but was wondering if it is being considered? Specially since the difference with previous elektron drum machines is that is analog?

Thank you very much
AdriƔn

Yea, there are some thoughts about just analog drum packs… Will see how things pan out in the future

Having said that, the sample packs include programming with analog synth and samples layered.

Thank you for the answer. Enjoy your evening.

I’m not sure I find the sample packs over priced… they can be purchased for the same price as a CD. Seems reasonable to me.

Slight detour… does anyone know, if i buy the utility kicks pack for the OT, could I just transfer the individual kick samples from the pack onto the RYTM?

Are they packaged the same way as the RYTM sample packs?

eg: the samples are separate to the sysex/project files

Personally I try to find my own way to every sound when i’m trying to make something of ā€œmy ownā€ in the studio… but it’s nice to have a broad variety of samples on hand ready to go when you just wanna get the right vibe for that day/style and play your part in a group.

EDIT: (Also, i could play with that SID Redux pack for days!)

Yes, you can upload OT sample packs to AR and MD. Though, each machine can accept different rate samples, so you would need to check it out.

Out of interest there are 102 analog synth patches in this pack give or take, as well as the 64 samples and all the performance and scenes. I really don’t understand why there is the impression these don’t provide good value for money and people moan about the inclusion of samples for a drum machine with analog capability and sample support.

Look at a synth like the Virus TI where your paying something like 40 Euro or $45 USD for 127 patches.

Also this pack wasn’t created by Elektron but by Biome digital - who deserve to be paid for their work. I never understand this mentality that things should be given away for free. Do you work for free?!

So how is this sound pack?

Sound quality good?

Comparison to the 909/808 packs?

Hey, Thanks for all the great feedback on this pack! It really did take weeks of work to make!

As said, it is more than just samples; it’s 16 patterns with some complex modulations. Also a mix of the Rytm oscillators and analogue samples. All the synth samples are from analogue hardware including Moog, DSI, Korg and others.

There will be plenty more packs from us coming over the next few months in various genres.

Thanks!
Antony - Biome Digital.
