I started playing armored core 6, and have been really enjoying it… until I got to the Cleaner or whatever the boss is called of the first mission you do with Ayra. The big rectangle thing with crushers on its arms. I’ve probably tried 20 different times with almost as many builds and I just can’t do it. Fast build with a machine gun, hovering builds with a missile launcher, targeting either weak point. A handful of other set ups.
Went from loving the game to absolutely dreading it. This might be the brick wall that causes me to quit.
That one gave me some real trouble too! I know in the end, a hovering build is what I used for that one, to target the weak spot on top. Can’t remember which weapons I used but probably a grenade launcher since I favored those pretty often.
I did chicken legs, grenade launchers and melee on my left arm.
Jump up and fill the bucket with grenades, punch it in the face when it’s stunned.
???
Profit!
You’ve got a lot of cool moments ahead of you in that game. Good luck, 621.
i played over 3hrs with two buddies yesterday night and we had a blast, even though we only reached the first main boss 3 times and didn’t manage to beat him
it’s intense and fun, however i can’t imagine playin it with randoms and without voice chat
as a dad gamer i wish there was a pause between days, as we had to interrupt the game a couple of times and the circle closes so quick
also i feel like there is not enough time to explore, read and learn stuff - you just have to run, otherwise you’re dead
It sounds like they will add a Duals patch for Nightreign which would be preferable in my case. Probably a few months off. I’ve been overseas so will likely hit it next weekend
I think night reign is ok, its a bit hektik, and i wish ot had a pause point in the run, so you can take a short break, at this pace its a very rushed expierience. Maybe that would not work if its enforced, but i wiah it had some minutes between each day. maybe filled with some animations /story.
Yeah agree, I’ve only had a couple runs with some randoms, usually ends up being one leader who knows everything out front signposting everything. And people just bolting. I agree I’m keen to sort of explore a bit and figure out where stuff is but you often don’t have time.
I did a run yesterday, with the equilibrium boss, and there is a statue where you could call the boss as mini boss in limveld. Not sure if that is true for all the bosses, but it was quiete a revelation.
Imho it makes most sense to go after the castle in the middle once you hit level 7. Ideally open the gate and start day 2 again in the castle in middle. (maximize xp, and possibly get 2nd trincket.)
