I may be making a move soon to acquire either the desktop or the 37-key. Any differences, subtle or otherwise that I should take note in making that decision. Thanks.

Personally I prefer the keyboard version (Polar?) as it is easier for me to program patches while playing keys. Also I would go for TI2 because of more voices if the rack is not… I own both TI and TI2, using multimode the TI does break up much faster…

The keyboard version has the best keys ever!!!
If you don t care bout that, Polar is amazing.
If u just have small space, just get the desktop.

Every synth ever is better with keys…expressive velocity and aftertouch makes a million times difference to feels and musical expression, even if you can’t play keys (yet) at some point in your journey you will tinker, and realise the power of the interactive dynamic relationship between player and keys…then you will want keys on everything…

True. Had and sold the Digitone because I did not gel with it, then bought Digitone Keys and absolutely love it. Although I have to admit the small Digitone box is also really nice, would love to own both now. 
If I had more space all my synths would have keys
