Is there a way to focus tracks with midi
I tried cue focuses track and mute focuses track, but this seems to only work when done with the machine [function+track], [cue+track]
Also is there a way in live recording mode to record multiple tracks parameters at the same time?
I would like for example to be able to live record the filter movements on track one and the delay on track 2 at the same time
with an external controller
But apparently the track needs to be selected to record the knobs movements
Selecting specific tracks by midi can be done, with a bit of ingenuity, it’ll be more fun to discover how yourself, needs something like Lemur with a bit of flexibility Otherwise you have next/previous detailed in appendix
You can start recording on multiple tracks remotely via midi, never tried Params though, my guess would be that changing multi chan Params was ok but probably not recording on more than one chan
I think that is how I remember it. If you have 2 midi tracks configured (say ch 15 and 16, and auto ch 11) you can play both from a controller at the same time. If the track set to ch 15 is active, you can only record the active track via ch 11 or 15.
I found active track up/active track down in the appendix
I will go try this right now. I have been building a huge midi patch on Reaktor which allows to edit/randomize parameters of different tracks and I am looking for a way to “write” those to scenes. I ll create a “write” button that triggers a step sequence to go input the values track by track. Because I also don’t think recording parameters on different tracks is possible.
The patch will be ready really soon and it’s pretty amazing so far :). I am looking for someone to test it before I release it. Would you be interested? In the meantime I am creating the Lemur side of it. But this will probably take me another week or so for that one.
Yes it is possible to live record parameters from midi, but it is not possible on multiple channels/tracks as they need to be focused. I was wondering if anyone found a trick for that one
Sounds interesting, but I don’t run reaktor. I just patch with Max, giving lemur a bit of time lately too. The OT seems very responsive to lots of midi data, but I’ve also seen issues where cc commands needed 60ms to take effect
