FM synthesis Artist, Albums or track?

Hi,
Do you know an artist, album or track where i can hear FM synthesis ?
Not too old something modern like Autechre not 80’s please or if it’s experimental.

Thanks for people who share links or names !

@ess I know you’re probably busy, but perhaps you might enjoy throwing a dog a bone here

Everything here. Plus a lot of other Autechre, especially LP5 stuff.

Bass here.

A lot of Aphex Twin, Syro for example has a lot of funky fm basslines.

And of course, from the inventor of the technique himself:

Good name for an album

Digitalis by @glitched was done 100% on the DN.

10 tracks of obscured digital noises and hidden melodies. Heptapod techno. Sounds of MU/TH/UR malfunctioning.

Good stuff :+1:

Hyperforms often use FM sounds in his productions. Hyperforms - Impulse is one good example.

One of my favorite sounds of all time is from this recording (starting at 41seconds).

famously sampled in Radiohead’s Idioteque…

Widely recognised as the father of ambient music, Brian Eno deserves a mention! The year the DX 7 came out, he released this timeless album where he used it heavily.

and he has continued using it heavily in solo works:

I’ll also post this album with Jon Hassel: no DX on this one (mostly Prophet 5 for synth), but the ways the trumpet is fx-ed is amazing throughout. Sublime album.

I saw SND open for Autechre like a million years ago in Minneapolis their set was one of the best things I’ve heard.

Apparently a fan of Eno, Hiroshi Yoshimura’s 80s Green album is unconventional FM:

“Recorded … at his private studio, Hiroh 806, using Yamaha DX7, TX7, and FB01 synthesizers, a Roland MSQ-700 sequencer and a Victor AV computer.”

I saw them at the Musicbox in Manchester supporting Autechre, it might have been on the same tour. I think it was 2008.

I remember being blown away by SND. Something unique and different. I think the music on https://www.discogs.com/Snd-Atavism/master/234569 represents what they were playing really well.
