I’m trying to find a flight / pedalboard case that I’ll be able to fit all my gear in (plugged in and ready to go), but I’m continually hitting snags. I’m not sure if I want one with velcro on the bottom so that I can keep everything in place while moving around or if I should just get one with lots of foam and hope for the best. Here are a couple I found.
The first one has velcro, but it’s a lil’ bit small so that I don’t think I’ll be able to keep everything plugged in. The second one looks good, though, it has no velcro and is a fairly odd shape.
Anyhoo, just wanted to see if anyone could give me some tips in putting one together.
I think Pelican/Storm cases are the best solution for this. They don’t (as far as I know) have any with lift-off lids, but if you can secure your gear to a plank or board (I use an Ikea Gorm shelf), and then get a case that fits the whole thing, you’re golden. They’re built to last and also waterproof, which is nice if you play outdoors at all and need to be able to protect your stuff from moisture.
Seems reasonable but the hour drive is a factor plus your time and fuel… Remember that all your gear needs to fit with all the cables connected… Less space required if you use 90 degree ends as to straight ends… Another good tip and thanks Tarekith on this one… Get yourself some cable wrap to tidy it all up…
Scored the case, covered my gear in velcro, and got some cable wrap. Everything looks great all nuzzled and organized. Just waiting on a small mixer and trying to find some kind of stand to place it in my studio. Look at one of the Quik Lok keyboard stands, just not sure which model to get.
