Fix Transpose for Midi Tracks

I’m using external midi track 3 to trigger a drum machine. I open the transpose page, make sure it’s set to Track M3, and select the FIX option under scale. But in song mode, when the pattern is transposed, it still transposes my drum pattern as well.

Am I missing something?

In fact, I just checked under the Song Mode Transpose page, and even it says that M3 is not being transposed, even on the rows where other tracks are. But it’s still playing back as though it were, i.e. my simple little 4x4 turns into a weird cymbally mess on the transposed rows.

Something like that should automatically be saved via the track settings. I would try testing it on another pattern and see if you experience the same behavior.

What happens when you transpose while in pattern mode? Same issue as song mode?

Well, the problem was that I am an idiot.

While I normally use M3 for drums, for some reason on that pattern I had copied my pattern to M1. Earlier, I had set M1, 2 and 3 to send on channel 3, because that’s the only channel the Tanzbar drums receive data from.

Thanks for your help, though. In a minute, I’ll get my face out of my palm and carry on.
