Enjoy
Lovely, as always.
Will this be a one-off or the prelude to a new body of work?
By the way, what’s the floaty, vibrato sound that begins at about 0:24?
Hi Peter,
That was done in Tassman 4 .
Basically 2 OSC patch tone with a standard VCO (sq with slow PWM) and the other a comb oscillator tuned to 6.2hz and slow LFO mod.
That was then duplicated and detuned slightly with different ADSR settings for both oscillator pairs.
Both OSC pairs have their own Low pass filters.
Just added a touch of tremolo, eq and internal Tassman sync tempo delay set to 8/3 with a small amount of Valhalla Shimmer to taste.
I don’t use many AU Instruments - only use Tassman 4, Reaktor, ACE, Aalto and Absynth but Tassman can have a really nice creamy tone to it that I find rather musical.
It may not have the prettiest interface but for hybrid modelling it is hard to beat IMHO and has some great classic step sequencers onboard as well.
I am starting on a new body of work with a more ambient bent, this won’t be part of that work but it was a study in certain production techniques for some ideas I have in mind.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Created video for it now as well.
Can be viewed in HD too.
Hypnotic music . With video I freaked
great stuff i was lost in there for a while…
Thanks for the comments folks - glad to see a few of you got “lost” in the video.
missed this somehow when you first posted. enjoyed the clean intricate percussion lines as usual and the pad floating beind them.
Been informed that DSO Berlin have licensed this to SONY Classical and it will appear on a compilation later this year.
