First track A4 + Octa

Hi All,

First recording with the A4 and Octatrack into Zoom h5. Further light compression added in AUdacity.

A few familiar patches used inc. the Guitar in the intro. Just had to incorporate it somewhere.

The Mixing and mastering side of things does my head in! Start doubting how everything sounds.

The Octatrack compression used here on the master appears to add some noise but it could be just my tinnitus I’m hearing LOL.

Appreciate any feedback or guidance for future reference.

i like it … reminds me somehow, don’t know how to describe it better, on late 80s music

just add some low - on sub-level pumping bassline on every step and/or use more vocal samples

Appreciate the feedback. Compressed a bit harder and reloaded to soundcloud.

Is there any post-recording stand alone compression software that i should look at?
I don’t have a daw and just use audacity for sample management and in this case compression but have my doubts on quality.

Yes, late 80’s - early nineties…now have a Streichfett to add more vintage sounds.

Great tracks.
Did you use a daw for the tracks or is it direct live ?
It is complex but sounds very nice.
