Using a MIDI controller, is it possible send a CC when a note is played to fire the retrig function on that note? If so, are there other CC’s to control the retrig length, speed, and velocity? So far it looks like you can only use the retrig function from the onboard RYTM sequencer itself. Would really like to be able to fire it from outside the RYTM.

No, you would have to use the pattern sysex and deal with the whole pattern at once.
