Hi, I just found that Fabfilter plug-ins can run on an iPad over Auria DAW.
I really like Fabfilter’s Pro EQ and Pro Limiter so I’m considering using them as a finalizer backup while playing live. I usually use hardware for that, but those devices doesn’t comes with me on the plane’s cabin, I have to dispatch them, and it happened that some luggage eventually get lost or arrives to late, so having a light B plan for those situations sounds great to me. I know is not the same but is better than nothing.
Anyone has any experience with Auria for iPad and or Fabfilter plugs running on Auria for iPad?
Thanks!
I haven’t used auria as an output stage but use aum plus my interface for live sets religiously.
Aum has built in filters and can host other plug ins. It’s super powerful and sounds good.

AUM looks amazing, is a shame Fabfilter plug ins aren’t ported other than Auria on iOS.
Which brick-wall limiter / compressor do you use with AUM?
I got nice results with Korvpressor, but at the end I like Fabfilter ProLimiter more.
I haven’t used it in a live situation but I have Auria + four FabFilter plugins (Pro C 2, Timeless, Volcano, Saturn) and they sound amazing and run very well. The same algorithms as far as I know. Curious to hear from anyone who’s used this type of setup live. And yes, Aum is awesome, use it all the time, love all the Kymatica apps.

I have auria pro and most of the fabfilter plugins. However, I am not sure I’d use it for live processing audio at a gig due to latency concerns. Haven’t tested but would prob add a bunch of latency.
Would you like me to test the latency further? How many tracks we talking about, just one stereo?
Since buying them Ihave used em quite rarely actually… I had this idea of multitracking stuff into auria, and mixing it on the go with auria + ff eq & comps / dly / reverb (the fabfilter r is a nice reverb!), but have not actually gotten around to it due to not having a go-to audiointerface solution yet. I’ve bought an audient iD22 for this, but there are all kinds of hurdles wih using it with iOS.
Man I wish there existed just a simple ADAT optical input that would work with iOS, I wouldn’t need any analog ins or even an output… just to run 8 ADAT channels in

Yes please! Test it
Just one stereo track with one instance of the Pro L (the limiter one).
Would be great to know how small the buffer can gets before starting glitching and popping
I was using Audio Bus 3 with Korvpressor, all with a 128 frames buffer size (6ms) with no pop or glitches on iPad Pro with iConnectivy Audio 4.
I´m talking with Auria support right know, they will give me some latency numbers for different iOS devices on the next days.
Aum has a built in limiter and I use Korvpressor as well.

How good is the built in limiter for full mixes?
My stuff comes almost ready: RYTM compressed then all through the Octatrack Compressor on T8, then Analog Heat (as Finalizer), then MOTU Ultralite Compressor + Limiter, there I’m like -9dB RMS.
Placing a Fabfilter Limiter on that situations gives me more 2-3 extra dB and pretty clean.
I don’t think I can answer. It’s configurable and you can hook up a midi controller to the built in effects as well.

I would like to see what the original IPad Air latency is compared to the latest IPads if you find out…
Of course! Anyway once someone confirmed the Pro I will test the Air1 by myself.
