Filter on sample?

Hello,

i guess i’ve missed this bit of info, or maybe nobody know yet…will filter be applied to the whole sound of the track, including the sample or sample is going on top of the filtered analog sound? What about send FX, i guess mix of sound and sample goes into FX an there’s no way to control this?

Thanks!

total guess… the filter is only for the analog synth engine. The sample playback will be after the voice filter. But since there are individual outs, one can always apply another filter to that voice after it leaves the RYTM. The Octatrack and Analog 4 both can input external signals for processing and filter. Waldorf’s new 2-pole at NAMM looked great.

to me it looks like

synth + sample -> filter -> amp

synth/sample can both be toggled on/off.
FX sends are controlled from the Amp page.

Hope its that ^

Sample pre filter with a post filter amount knob like Tempest would be good.

Another thing which makes me wonder is how the sample playback is handled: will it cut off every time the voice is re-triggered, or will there be an option to keep the tale playing until trig with ‘sample on’ parameter or something…would be cool to p-lock some triggers to play just samples and then still keep using the track for percussions or so without interrupting it, this way you could basically use 8 channels of samples independently.

Even if there is a setting to allow the sample to keep playing, the sample is going to share the filter and master amp envelope with the analog voice for that track.

oh yeah, amp envelope…
