I’m hoping the Transfer app allows for a very easy way to backup the AR. But for instance I can’t see how it receives sysex, only sending using drop.
I’m not even sure how drop works. If I drop 10 kits on there, will they just line up in the 10 next empty spots?
I don’t use Overbridge, and assumed Transfer was a full tool for moving kits into other projects and things like that. The stuff that was painful in the past.
Has someone documented a good backup strategy for the AR using Transfer yet?
I’ve just been trying to work out the best method to back up recently.
I think it’s a 2 part process and not able to do just with transfer.
You can send a sysex dump for a project and it has all the data in that using C6.
Then use transfer to export all the samples on the drive…
I’m yet to try wipe the Rytm clean then try put everything back on,
so not sure if will go back to how it was yet but I assume it would.
Yeah, this Transfer app is nothing but the most basic connection for moving samples to the +drive, but I can’t browse the project folder to pull out the contents of the sample pool to back up that project. When you add samples to the project sample pool, I want to order them, but it’s got whatever was there + my additions all in whatever order they were added.
total yuck!
