i am still exploring my Digitakt II and love it more and more.
Now I wonder if I can produce interesting soundscapes by using some kind of feedback loop effect with it. feedback looping with effects and turning off the original instrument source is one of my favorite techniques for sound design in my DAW and it would be great to have this or some similar workaround method for the Digitakt.
I am specifically asking for ways to get into this territory with just the Digitakt…
I did it with cables between OUT LR and IN LR.
I disabled IN LR TO MAIN in AUDIO ROUTING and used Delay Send.
You can also disable some tracks you want to send to fx sends only.
That way only delay is sent to OUT LR, more control of feedback.
You can try reverb too, add external fx, resample…
thanks, the audio routing is still new to me and i will try and experiment with the settings you suggested, but just to be sure… for the DT2 i have to plug 2x aux into OUT (L+R) and 2x aux into IN (L+R) to make it work?
ok cool, i will get one soon and update here how it went!
update: the test time with my digitakt is over and i decided for different reasons to swap it with a digitone and try this box out. working with samples exclusively wasnt as much fuch as it was in my imagination.
