Favourite Pedals in a Hybrid / DAW setup

That’s why I’ve settled on Chase Bliss pedals that are more creative and not that easy to copy with plugins (or less fun). The heavy lifting is done by Onward and Mood MK II, which can make pretty any incoming sound like something completely different. And they’re obtuse and quirky enough for you to just send things in and be surprised but then being able to shape something musical and useful out of that. I then have a Generation Loss MK II at the end of the chain to add subtle character, dirt and EQ. These pedals are not ideal if you want to use them for live performance, there’s way too much ugly mess that can happen by touching a few knobs. I use them more like: cool, I have a nice melody or beat, let’s send them to my CBAs and make them more interesting / make something that sounds completely different but still goes along pretty well with the source. For everything bread and butter, I just use the FX in my Tonverk/Elektrons and/or plugins.

Line 6 take some beating.
The OG DL-4 can be found for under £150, and IMO, is already a classic.
Then you have the HX Stomp which does everything well, plus its stereo, and has a couple of expression ports that you can send CV to.

H90 is cool. I’ve got tons of vsts but eventide has something special in their boxes.
And I would use HX Stomp for the same reason if I didn’t have Helix Native.

What do you love about this pedal? I’ve always thought it sounded like a box of bees, but strangly enjoyed the sound a lot. I’ve only used it on a bass. I used to wonder what it could sound like in stereo at the end of a high fidelity synth FX chain

As you’re stipulating hybrid, have you considered the Melbourne Roto-Control?
That takes the space of two pedals and can bring plugins to life, with clear labelling and full recall.

It has an EQ and blend knob. Great for synth bass or drums. It doesn’t do subtle, but it’s great if you want super aggressive sounds. Like with an MS-20 or Reese bass.

Kinotone Ribbons is worth checking out and considering.

I actually have it but had a few issues and put it away! Will revisit it as sure been updated since then

I love the Strymon Volante and the Boss DC2W. I’ve got a Radial EXTC Stereo and the DC2 is permanently plugged in.

What troubles did you have? I’ve been contemplating returning my recently purchased launch control and going with the roto control for use with bitwig

my favorites:

HX stomp
Eventide H90
Elektron Analog Heat
Strymon Timeline, Moebius, BigSky

I had terrible problems with Bitwig and controller extensions where it would not find the device.

I would add it again and it was good until I rebooted, then lost again! Drove me bloody nuts and it was happening with another controller also (Reliq which just arrived so realised it was a computer issue) which I only finally resolved a few days ago! It was my security settings on my Mac allowing access to the documents folder where the extensions / script folder is located.

So all good now and it was not the Rotocontrol itself thankfully
