TekniQ. A great channel to watch when you’re not sure what to watch. Very interesting videos of people manufacturing /tranporting things usually in primitive conditions in various exotic locations around the world. What I really like is it has no annoying music, narration or gimmicks.

Very relaxing macro videography centered around aquarium life, with narration that is informative and easy on the ears. Highly recommended.

Great channel that often dives into tech that most people don’t consider. Even when it’s a topic I already know about, the delivery is excellent (if you don’t mind some corny humor) and he makes any topic interesting.
oh man used to watch it a lot, don’t know what happened but something changed in his format when he got that assistant and it because a bit uncomfortable for me to watch, a bit over production I guess and lost some of the intimacy, I should see what’s new there…
this is a mostly cool channel, some history, some space, some gaming, not everything worth a watch but mostly well produced stuff
and this is another one I think I referenced in other threads but I really enjoy, space visualization with psybient music, really love this one, great topics too
thanks @thermionic for recommending this one, so far I’ve only watched one but it was a huge deal for me, about the animators behind one of my favorite animations ever, obscure, dark and although intended for children (that’s when I watched it first, it was aired on tv in the 80s as children schedule) I’m not sure it’s good for kids, or maybe the current state of children animation is too “polished”?
either way, great documentary, great channel, worth taking a look.
and this is the animation I’m talking about from '75
I’ve found this (mostly nuclear physics) channel by accident but this was the best explanation I’ve ever had to what actually happened in the chernobyl accident, this guy has the perfect demonstration model and I can now finally understand what caused the explosion, there’s not much on this channel but what’s there is very good stuff!
It doesn’t really matter what interviews I watch, I think what I enjoy most is the slower pace of the conversation. So many TV talk show interviews these days are a minute or two talking shit but otherwise dominated by the hosts gags and the show format.
And it’s interesting seeing people talking in their younger years who you’ve otherwise only known as old.
EIsSocial (not using their YouTube handle because it’s a bit ambiguous), on the rare occasion I feel like watching video essays now. Mainly anything relevant to social issues as I don’t follow gacha games that closely and the fandom surrounding it.
Otherwise I’m rarely on YouTube these days for anything non-music.
